What a Way to Go

Set against the sun-drenched landscape of Greece, the film follows a group of longtime friends confronting the realities and indignities of growing older. Rather than quietly accepting what life has in store, they embark on an unconventional journey filled with irreverent humor, unexpected mishaps, reflection, and surprising moments of joy.

With his characteristic blend of comedy and humanity, Svěrák finds humor in some of life’s more uncomfortable truths, tackling aging and mortality while exploring friendship, dignity, and what it means to live fully at any age. At once darkly funny and poignant, WHAT A WAY TO GO is a spirited look at enduring friendship and the determination to remain the author of one’s own story.

The film will have its North American Premiere at the 27th Newport Beach Film Festival in California.
