La Piscine

Jean-Paul and Marianne (Alain Delon and Romy Schneider) are spending an idyllic holiday together at a luxurious villa near St. Tropez, loaned to them by a friend. Their sensual solitude is interrupted by the impromptu arrival of their mutual friend Harry, a garrulous record producer, with his 18-year-old daughter Penelope, whose existence they weren’t previously aware of.

Resentful of her father’s attentions to Marianne, Penelope reveals to Jean-Paul that Marianne and Harry were once lovers and that Harry said he could have Marianne back whenever he wants. Thrown together by circumstance and driven by hate for Harry, Jean-Paul and Penelope are drawn closer to each other until things take a sinister turn.
