We’re open! – with limited capacity

After a 15-month closure, we’re beyond thrilled to announce that the Avalon Theatre is open to the public!
As of May 21, 2021, the DC Government removed capacity and distancing restrictions for movie theaters. However, we recognize that many of our patrons may prefer a more cautious return to movie-going.
Until further notice, the Avalon will continue to adhere to a variety of CinemaSafe recommended protocols and beyond, including:
- theater capacity limits
- socially-distanced reserved seating
- contactless ticket purchases
- mandatory masking for all patrons and staff
- increased air purification
- enhanced cleaning
- multiple hand sanitizer stations
- and more!
