Our film series offer the newest in independent features, family films and world cinema, giving local filmgoers the chance to see alternative films on the big screen all year long.

Senior Cinema Thursdays
Seniors: mark your calendars for the 3rd Thursday of each month, beginning July 16th, to see the Avalon’s current feature film on the big screen! Meet new friends and enjoy a morning of entertainment.

Avalon In Focus
Single night premiers of some rare indie films that might not otherwise make it onto DC Area screens. Post-screening discussions and/or performances allowing the audience a chance to explore the process of filmmaking in greater depth.

The Cinema Club

The nation’s premier sneak preview film society previews and discusses the best American independent and foreign films of the season before they hit local screens.

SPECIAL EVENTS (hosted by outside parties)

Occasionally the Avalon will rent our space to an outside party for a film or other event we believe our audience might enjoy, this is where we get that information to you!
