Summer of Love

A new Repertory program from the Avalon Theatre!

On Sunday mornings this July and August, join us for our new classic cinema program Summer of Love, featuring 7 terrific films about the passion, discovery and beauty of the summer romance. Escape to European destinations like Florence, Stockholm or Vienna, or stay Stateside with a trip to the 1960s Catskills or rural Iowa. With names like Bergman, Ivory, Linklater, Pawlikowski, Blunt, Chalamet, Eastwood, Streep, Swayze and Grey, you know you’re in for a treat!

We’ll kick things off with an Art house classic from the mid 80s, celebrating it’s 40th Anniversary, the Merchant Ivory production A ROOM WITH A VIEW. Starring Helena Bonham Carter, Maggie Smith, Julian Sands, Daniel Day-Lewis and Judi Dench, A ROOM WITH A VIEW won three Oscars in 1987.
