Final Day Thursday

In 17th Century Amsterdam, an orphaned girl (Alicia Vikander) is forcibly married to a rich and powerful merchant (Christoph Waltz) – an unhappy “arrangement” that saves her from poverty. She is tempted into adultery when an artist hired to paint the couple’s portrait (Dane DeHaan) becomes infatuated with her. Seeking to escape the merchant’s ever-reaching grasp, the lovers risk everything and enter the frenzied tulip bulb market, with the hope that the right bulb will make a fortune and buy their freedom. Adapted from novel by Deborah Moggach, best selling author of The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, TULIP FEVER was directed by Justin Chadwick. Judi Dench, Tom Hollander, Jack O’Connell, Holliday Grainger, Zach Galifianakis, Matthew Morrison, Cara Delevingne, Cressida Bonas, and David Harewood co-star.
