Life for Beginners

Czarek, a charmingly awkward young man with a mysterious streak, regularly visits his outspoken grandmother at her nursing home. There, he meets Monia, whose quiet demeanor and nighttime shifts soon raise suspicions. Their budding romance is interrupted by a string of mysterious deaths among the residents—pushing the pair into an unexpected investigation. As the plot thickens, we meet a colorful cast: a sharp-tongued, life-loving grandma and a deeply melancholic vampire tired of eternal life. But it’s Monia—caring, conflicted, and quietly courageous—who anchors the film. LIFE FOR BEGINNERS is a gem that proves the undead can be disarmingly human. A celebration of love, risk, and the beauty of ordinary life—even for those who’ve lived a little too long.
