Marsha and the Positrons

One Show Only!
Sat, Mar 4 at 10AM

Marsha and the Positrons is led by singer/songwriter Marsha Goodman-Wood with djembe drummer & drum-maker extraordinaire Kweku Owusu, and skilled & smooth bassist Wardell Howell. Their concerts are fun, playful, and educational — and entertaining for adults as well as kids!

Wardell is a longtime DC-area jazz bassist whose bass-playing has taken him around the world. Kweku is a versatile percussionist as well as an excellent drum-maker, the founder of Drumming Up from Poverty (a project that mentors street children in Ghana by teaching them drumming, dancing and drum-making), and the co-owner of Hands on Drums. Marsha’s debut solo album Gravity Vacation has fun original songs about science & how the world works, and has garnered critical praise and several songwriting award nominations.
