The Happiness of the World (Szczęście świata)
In the months before the start of WW2, a journalist travels to a town near the Polish-German border in search of an author he admires. What he finds wis a an exceptional tenement house full of weird and wonderful residents. The film focuses on its inhabitants, including the beautiful Jewish woman Róża (MARIE CURIE’s Karolina Gruszka) and three men infatuated with her: a Pole, a Silesian and a German. The film has been labelled Wes Anderson-esque for its meticulously crafted scenes and beautiful accompanying score.
