Late Night

LATE NIGHT follows the story of two women at opposite ends of the entertainment industry spectrum who bond through unexpected circumstances. After two decades in the late-night talk show business, show host Katherine Newbury (Emma Thompson) faces growing concerns of becoming outdated and losing popularity. In an attempt to modernize her show, Katherine hires Molly Patel (Mindy Kaling), her first-ever female staff writer. Despite the initial intention of smoothing over diversity concerns, the hiring decision ultimately brings hilarious and unforeseen consequences. Although separated by both culture and generation, the two women unite through a mutual love of comedy.
