General Benefits

All Avalon Members receive the following benefits:

Film Movement Monthly DVD Membership Program Discount

Many small but deserving films get squeezed out of theaters by Hollywood blockbusters, and they face skyrocketing marketing costs that make it almost impossible to reach appreciative audiences. Film Movement was created to address this problem. Film Movement’s mission is to put such films in front of the largest possible audiences. To meet this challenge Film Movement aggressively pursues all channels of film distribution that includes theatrical, institutional, television, retail, rental, in-flight, on-demand, and with a first-of-its-kind DVD of the month subscription service.

Subscribers to the Film Movement Monthly DVD Membership Program receive an award-winning film each month to own on DVD before the film has been put into general release. Each film is selected with the assistance of a curatorial board that includes directors of top film organizations such as the Lincoln Center, American Film Institute and Roger Ebert’s Overlooked Film Festival.

Avalon members receive a 20% discount on the Film Movement’s Monthly DVD Membership Program. Avalon members can use the code “Avalon20” to redeem their 20% discount on the Monthly DVD Membership Program.
