The beautiful and historic Avalon Theatre was dramatically rescued, restored, and reopened in April 2003. Through our exciting Membership Program, you can help sustain Washington’s only non-profit independent movie house while enjoying an array of fabulous benefits at the theater and in the Chevy Chase, DC neighborhood. Open to individuals and businesses, the Membership Program helps to sustain the Avalon’s stimulating and unique programming. And because the Avalon is the city’s oldest operating movie house, you also help preserve a piece of history and an historic landmark. The Avalon is operated by the non-profit Avalon Theatre Project, a 501(c)(3) organization. Your membership fee is tax deductible less the fair market value of the benefits provided. The Cinema Club New Membership Discount
Watch Sunday morning sneak previews and discuss them with fellow film enthusiasts! Avalon Members who have never been members of The Cinema Club before can reference their Avalon Membership when subscribing to The Cinema Club for the first time to receive a $20.00 discount off the regular membership fee! Film Movement Monthly DVD Membership Program Discount
Subscribers to the Film Movement Monthly DVD Membership Program receive an award-winning film each month to own on DVD before the film has been put into general release. Avalon members receive a 20% discount to this program. Simply use the code “Avalon20” when subscribing to redeem your discount.
