Angel of the Lord 2 (Anděl Páně 2)

Watch Trailer

A record-breaking smash in the Czech Republic, nominated for two Czech Lion Awards, ANGEL OF THE LORD 2 is the sequel to the popular Czech fairy tale about the angel Petronel (Ivan Trojan) who works at Heaven’s door, but is convinced that he deserves a better job. His eternal tempter, devil Uriah (Jiří Dvořák), provokes Petronel by saying, “Just pick an apple from the tree of knowledge and you will know what only God knows and the way to well-deserved recognition.” In the skirmish, the rare fruit rolls off to the Earth and the scatterbrained angel and his nemesis must go and find the apple in the world of people. The angel and devil find themselves in a small Czech town on the eve of St. Nicholas Day. After a series of human and “divine” tests, the heroes eventually find that the path to knowledge leads primarily through self discovery, strength of friendship, love and forgiveness.
