April 29th Benefit

On April 29, 2012 the Avalon Theatre held a fundraiser to benefit the Avalon Legacy Campaign. More than 250 people came to enjoy food, wine, and a special screening of “Hey, Boo: Harper Lee and ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’” to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the the film classic “To Kill a Mockingbird”. NPR special correspondent and loyal fan of the Avalon, Susan Stamberg, was on hand to interview Mary Badham who played Scout in “To Kill a Mockingbird” and Mary Murphy, the director of “Hey, Boo”. The event brought in over $90,000. Thanks to all who supported the evening!
